Getting into racing was new for many of us on the team. Most of us just rode for fun, and only recently started getting the itch to be more competitive on the bike. Season 1 was all about getting to know each other, and learn to ride together and trust each other. Here’s a look back, in pictures.
Racing season in NYC starts in March, meaning early morning wake-ups and cold weather.
Heading to the start line before most of the city wakes up is a rare perk of NYC racing; you’ll be done and sipping coffee at the cafe stop long before the average person rolls out of bed.
The weather provides an additional challenge, but getting out there when it’s tough means you build crucial mental and physical toughness. Safely, of course.
The cold eventually gives way to warmer weather, and with warmer weather, longer rides…
…and more smiles.
We’re all getting ready for the new season, and we hope you’re as excited as we are to see what we get up to. What are you most excited for in the new season? What goals do you have that you’d like to achieve in 2017? Let us know in the comments!
