It’s crazy how time flies; it feels like just yesterday we were getting our feet wet with racing and figuring out what we want to do and where we want to go as a team. Well, season two is here! We’ve had some successes in season one, and we’re looking to have even more this year. Here’s a quick look at what we’re doing to #beready.
As the 2016 season drew to a close, we started making plans for the winter base training season. Our first race is in March, so this gives us around 6 months to get ready. The majority of the racing we do involves short road races, with our target event being GFNY Worlds on May 21st. What does winter training look like for us? Here are some stats:
- Average hours per week: 6
- Average workout length: 1:00:00
- Average workout intensity (1-10): 7
Racing Plans for 2017
For 2017, we’re racing in Central Park as part of CRCA. Those races start in March, and help us prepare for the GFNY World Championship in May. Other races we’re planning on doing are the Killington Stage Race, also in May.
We’re excited for the new season, and hope to have even more fun riding and racing this year!
